CAN I SELL ON MY SITE?

You don't need a MasterCard, Visa, etc. merchant account to add e-commerce to your web site! PayPal, a third-party e-commerce system made popular by eBay, can be used to collect donations, registration fees, payments for products, etc.

You will need to set up a PayPal Business account (it's free to do this). Once this is complete, we'll need access to it in order to get the html button codes (you may change your password afterwards). We then insert the PayPal code in desired locations within the web site.

When someone makes a purchase or donation, you receive notification via email. You then log into your PayPal account to see details of the transaction and transfer the funds (less the small transaction fee) to your bank account.

PayPal provides a very simple & limited shopping cart that can be used at no extra charge. If you have a few items for sale that don't require many options (such as colors, sizes, personalization, etc.), this can be ideal.

This is still a very efficient and economical way to have ecommerce on your site.
